The state medical examiner says 63 year old Sanjay Patel died from complications of smoke inhalation after a September 14th house fire on West Lake Shore Drive in Danbury. Heart disease was also listed as a contributing condition, and his death was ruled accidental. Firefighters rescued Patel from the home and took him to Danbury Hospital, where he later died. The fire marshal is still investigating what caused the blaze.
