Connecticut officials are renewing awareness of the state’s text-to-911 system during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Victims can text 911 when it is unsafe to speak, with messages automatically routed to dispatchers. Advocates are also warning that 100 court-based victim advocates could be lost by 2028 without new funding.
