A driver escaped serious injury after a vehicle overturned into a river in Bethel. It happened early last Friday morning. Police, firefighters and a nearby homeowner rescued the driver from the wreckage. The driver suffered a cut above the eye and a rolled ankle and was later released from Danbury Hospital.
