Connecticut wildlife officials are warning residents to take precautions as conflicts with black bears increase. More than 50 bear home entries have been reported this year across nearly two dozen municipalities, already surpassing all of 2025. Residents are urged to secure trash, remove bird feeders and keep doors and windows locked.
